I did both my undergraduate and graduate schooling at NIU and had more classes in Cole Hall than I’d be able to count. It was so eerie when this shooting happened, because I could literally picture everything they were describing like it was right in front of me…and thinking it wasn’t that long ago I was sitting in that lecture hall myself. Scary… Life is so precious and goes by incredibly fast….things like this serve as yet another reminder to appreciate and enjoy every moment!
